Ms. Cherrylou. I'm just curious since you said in your video that extension of service must have a resolution. In the absence of a resolution, the responsible official shall pay the salary of the employee. My question is:
Can an employee’s service be extended without a CSC Resolution? If yes, what will be the basis? TY

Sec. 129 Rule XII of the 2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions, as Amended states that " The only basis for Heads of offices to allowa an employee to continue rendering service after his/her 65th birthday is a COMMISSION RESOLUTION granting the request for extention. In the absence of such resolution, the said employee shall not be authorized to perform the duties of the position and his/her salaries shall be the liability of the official responsible for the continued service of the employee" - Answered by Ms. Cherrylou Lara
